Any Swimming Pool Will Add Value – Even A Cheap One!

And even if you are not planning to actually sell your home anytime soon, the addition of a swimming pool, which you can enjoy immediately, will also definitely enhance your property valuation just in case you decide to sell at some time in the future.

The best home investment you can make to add the most value to your property is with a new  pool and this is easily done by installing an in-ground pool. These pools vary quite a bit in size and of course shape, which makes them really quite versatile. Even if you just get a cheap swimming pool of this type you will add value.

“In Ground” Swimming Pools

A new single in-ground swimming pool at yur home can have both a shallow wading area for smaller children as well as a much deep area for diving. If you want, you can have a waterfall installed for even more enjoyment and excitement during the hottest days in summer. These pools are not cheap to buy and install.

So, remember that “in ground” swimming pools can often be quite expensive even for a small one. This is especially true if you add multiple features or options such as a wading area,  a diving board or a water fall. Fortunately though, the larger and more elaborate these swimming pools are, the more value they actually add to your home. This is a good thing!

“Above Ground” Swimming Pools

Alternatively, you could choose an “above ground” swimming pool, which is usually a much less expensive option than the in ground versions. However they can need additional useful components such as a deck or a privacy fence. Both of these two items will of course also provide additional value to your home at the end of the day.

As you might imagine, above-ground pools aren’t usually quite as deep as any in-ground pool, but they can still provide a ton of enjoyment for visits with family, friends and other relatives. In addition they are still really excellent ways to stay cool on any hot summer day. A cheap swmimming pool like this is obviously an easier investment to make.

Of course, they too come in various sizes. The larger versions mean that it is totally possible to swim around enough, so that you can get good exercise from them as well.

What About A Hot Tub?

However, if you really don’t have the space or financial budget for a swimming pool, a great fun alternative, which will also still add value to your home is a get a hot tub. High-end hot tubs can often be quite elaborate and therefore a little expensive too.

Therefore you’ll need to compare the costs of buying one against a swimming pool and try to determine both the increases in your home’s value if you buy one against the enjoyment you’ll inevitably receive from owning either.

Most of all hot tubs will appeal to younger singles as well as the older couples, whose children have grown up and left home, because they are a really great way to relax, without all of the fun, frolics and over excitement which is often associated with using a swimming pool. A hot tub is of course the cheapest option available.

The Best Investment!

So, in order to get the biggest increase in value for your home, your best return on investment will be with an in ground swimming pool. While they do, of course, cost more and do take some time to install, they will also add an instant and significant value to your home that will far surpass the value added by the installation of above ground pools or hot tubs.

When you get to actually installing a swimming pool to increase the overall value of your home, especially if you are installing an in ground pool, then you must select the location for your new pool very carefully. Some of the best locations are often found behind your home, so that adding a privacy or security fence can add even more to the overall value that a new pool provides.

Any good swimming pool installation contractor should be able to help you make the right decision on the best location for your pool. Once your installation is complete make sure you have your house reappraised to get it’s new value determined. This way you will be able to see the instant monetary benefits, which you will have gained from adding your new inground pool.

This is not a cheap swimming pool and you should consider the pricing carefully before committing, but if you do it will be totally worth it!
